I turn off notifications for most apps and do not use them for any UA-cam channels. I personally don't want to be bombarded by all that. I find it super overwhelming to have things binging my phone all day. I subscribe to the channels I want to follow and then use my subscription tab when I want to watch videos. I personally like that I can be subscribed to a channel and not have to also get the notifications. So realize not everyone wants all that interrupting their day.

The government must run UA-cam. Thats the only way it can be so messed up.

Well this makes sense now. I hate that they make suggestions because the majority I have no interest.

I always get notifications when you post but I still checked to see if those notifications were on and they are so as long as you post I will watch.😊 If there is a UA-camr that I watch but haven't seen in a while I will pull up the channel to see if there is a post and just didn't get it because that occurred with a couple channels I'm subscribed too.

Also, there is another spot where you have to click that you want all notifications. Otherwise it only shows you personalized notifications… go to your subscriptions and click ALL at the top right of the list to change each individual notification setting. So still another step to bypass UA-cam’s algorithm system…

UA-cam getting greedy

This is really sad to think youtube doesn’t care. But also, people that say they haven’t seen your videos in 2 years and they thought you left. That’s on them. For real. At some point one would think they would key your name in to find out. That’s simple. It’s this other stuff about notifications that’s a crock. Don’t leave us. We’re here with you by choice. Abby, I think UA-cam does algorithms- so if someone doesn’t watch your stuff because we missed it - then it won’t show on subscription feed. I go to my subscription feed and search out the people I want to see.

I don’t get notifications on the videos that the UA-camrs upload but I make sure to check their channels to make sure I’m not missing a video. 😊 wow six years on UA-cam is a long time. I never knew that’s something you have to do to get all of their notifications now. 😮 I don’t want you to quit UA-cam I enjoy watching all of your videos. 😢

Love these videos! I'm a mom of 3 under 4 years old, and I am currently 160lbs trying to get back down to at least 145, ideally 130 ish. I don't count calories either currently, just similar to what you do, managing portions and picking heathier options! I did want to add that eggs have been killing my stomach..along with pork, beef, even avocados! Anything high in fat, really. Went to the doctor, and I have an ultrasound test next week. But I really think its my gallbladder. The pain is my upper right abdomen and goes up my back. Textbook symptoms of gallbladder :( Maybe you could just get your doctor to have a look, just in case. My "attacks" with pain have only gotten worse since having my last baby. Pregnancy can apparently reduce gallbladder function with some people! Crazy!

Thank you for sharing this. I just went into my notifications tabs, and sure enough the second tab was off -- totally explains WHY I wasn't getting ANY notifications for my subscribed channels.

I absolutely love your videos. My YT screen doesn't look like yours. All my channels show on a column on the left side or across the top of my device (tablet and phone). I don't have my notification bell on, I get a blue dot on the picture of the channel I've subscribed too if a new video is posted. Watching YT is my relaxation time after work. Keep up the great work Abby! 😘
